Hankook Sommardäck Radial RA08 175/80R13C, 97/95Q TL

Have this tire for my Happart trailer about BJ. Bought in 2003, fortunately the size is still available from Hankook. The rolling behavior is great, with 2 Vespas on it I hardly notice what's hanging on the back of the Caddy.

I lost 2 Carlisle tires on my travel trailer on 1 trip trying to run with the big dogs across 80 in Pa and decided to get these even though they say you are supposed to run a st tire. Ive run these almost a year now so I can give a good review. My first trip out I run across 70 between 65 and 70 in 95 degree weather that day running 50 lbs of air. After a pretty long run I pulled in a rest area to check them and they were between really warm and almost hot. They have a real smooth ride and handle about the same. My last trip I just came back from was the same trip across 80 through Ohio and Pa. I bumped them up to 53 lbs of air running around 65 most of the time in 85 degree weather and made a run for the hills a few times that I hit 78 that I could go now due to the high speed rating. This time when I checked them they were barely warm probably not any warmer that a car tire. By the way I balanced them. As far as the wear the tread may last me as long as the trailer.

I have these on my '75 Westy and love the way they handle. They;re quiet on the highway (or, at least, who could hear them over all the ambient noise inside the bus) and handle well without being too much tire (e.g. some of the light truck tires people use for their buses). Why Hankook discontinued them is beyond me.
