Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 K127 är ett sportigt sommardäck med tydligt fokus på grepp och styrprecision. Tester och omdömen visar mycket starka prestanda på både torr och våt väg och däcket inger stort förtroende i kurvor och vid hårda inbromsningar. De låsande spåren och silica-blandningen hjälper till att minska vattenplaning och ger ändå helt okej komfort och ljudnivå för ett UHP-däck. Samtidigt finns de typiska nackdelarna hos sommardäck: det är inte lämpligt för snö eller is och presterar sämre i låga temperaturer. Slitaget är i allmänhet snabbare än på vanliga touringdäck, särskilt vid sportig körning. För förare som mest kör under de varmare månaderna och värdesätter sportiga köregenskaper till ett fortfarande rimligt pris är det ett mycket intressant val, men inte bäst som enda däck året runt.

Mycket tysta med låg förbrukning. Bilen går i 100 km/h med en förbrukning om 20,5 kWh/mil vilket är bra med 21" och 305 mm breda däck!

The tyres are good, but not the best of the best. No complains apart from two episodes. One was sideways sliding at around 70 kmh in a corner if an autobahn ramp on dry road. That was unexpected. The second was a contact with a parking/sidewalk edging at parking speed, maybe 5 kmh. The tyre has something like a rim protector, which just tore during the contact and I have both a scratched rim and a piece of rubber sticking out of the tyre (I glued it back).
