Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 245/50R18 XL riktar sig till kraftfulla bilar och förare som vill behålla en sportig känsla även på vintern. Många omdömen lyfter fram kombinationen av stark dragkraft på snö och is och mycket stabilt, förutsägbart uppträdande även i högre hastigheter. På våt väg ger däcket mycket bra grepp och korta bromssträckor, och det asymmetriska mönstret ger trygg kurvtagning. På kall, torr asfalt jämförs greppet ofta med bra sommardäck, samtidigt som komfort och ljudnivå är höga för denna typ av däck. Slitaget beskrivs i allmänhet som jämnt och långsamt, och Michelin erbjuder dessutom en ovanlig mönsterdjups- eller körsträcksgaranti för ett vinterdäck. Däremot är det inte ett renodlat däck för extremt djup snö, där mjukare nordiska vinterdäck kan prestera bättre. En del användare upplever också mer flex i sidoväggen och något mindre exakt styrkänsla med den senaste gummiblandningen, och priset ligger klart över många konkurrenter. För förare som söker ett sportigt och precist vinterdäck som samtidigt fungerar bra i vardagen är PA4 ett av de starkaste valen i performance-vinterklassen.

Très bonne tenue de route, assez silencieux, très bonne prise dans la neige et très pneus qui bonne tenue sur la glace, répond bien sur la route en hiver, dans les courbes et sur les arrêts. Je les recommande.

Great winter tires for a performance car (2026 VW GTI Autobahn). They are quiet, comfortable. The car handles lioke it was on rails on twisty mountain roads and Interstates. Excellent for snow and ice winter conditions and excellent when roads are dry or wet (unlike other winter tires).

I live in Calgary where winters have constant thawing and freezing cycles, making road conditions treacherous at times. These are very capable tires when new or slightly worn and have decent tread durability. At approximately 35,000 Kms with timely tire rotations and maintaining pressures regularly, they are now worn down evenly to 6/32nds of an inch remaining (approx. 50% worn). I was hoping to get another winter out of them, but I no longer feel safe driving on icy surfaces as they don`t grip nearly as well as they used to. Perhaps my expectations are unreasonable, but I am a bit disappointed in their deterioration in traction, stability and performance at this stage.
