Michelin Road 5

I have ridden several generations of this tire from the Macadam (FJ1200) to the current Road 6 and Road 6 GT. I have tried Continentals, Dunlops, Metzeler but always come back to the Michelins. The 6 is by far the best one yet. I REALLY loved the Road 5 and went through about 8 sets on my ZX14 and R1. It was stable, predicable and still let me go into the corners without issue. 2up or solo SPORT touring the tire never let me down. The Road 6 is even better. I'm on my 4th set on my Bandit 1250.

Excellent replacement tires for my 2016 FJ09 from the OEM Dunlops. Tire pressures maintained to factory specifications. High speed stability and confidence in cornering compared to original tires. Overall I’m satisfied with the purchase.

I installed the first set of Road 6 on July 6, 2022. They lasted until August 15, 2023 after 15,353 km. I reinstalled Road 6 GT at that time. They lasted until September 20, 2024 after 15,338 km. Great feedback, responsive turning, easy to change direction Not had tyres long enough to rate wear or wet.

I've been riding 39 years, Still lovin it & still pulling the trigger. If a K1600 bangs past you It's probably me and wife. The tyres have been great over almost 3000km this summer in UK & ireland (a lot of 2-up with luggage) with no sign of flatfacing yet. We will see how long they last .The best we've had so far on our BMW tourer. "pricey but nicey"
