Alpine used to make good products, looks like its manufactured OK, but this was described as a 90dB efficient speaker. It sounds like a tweeter when played and you can see why in the measurement. The blue line is the Alpine 4 inch, the brown is a Vifa 3.5 which I know the response for. That Vifa peaks at 88dB so the Alpine is 90dB from about 3.5KHz and up, The Vifa is 86 in the 200 to 1KHz region so the Alpine is about 10dB down on that 76dB. No wonder it sounds so tinny and no wonder they dont include a frequency response plot in the data. Returned for refund what a waste of my time!

Better than the original speakers but a bit tinny and no bass whatsoever. As long as theyre not your only speakers then they’re worth buying.

Very nice quality product. I customised these for my 1997 Mitsubishi Shogun dash mounted speakers.Easy to cut off 2 of the fixing lugs to fit dash mount types using a coping saw.
