Epson service is not terrible. It's non-existent--farmed out third party interests who will charge for service. Once the print heads clog, it's over. O-v-e-r. I spent $800 on more inks, solvents, parts & more parts. The guy I bought all this from said don't change the print heads. It won't work because it doesn't work. I ended up disassembling mine for easier transport to the DUMP.

This is the most unreliable printer I have ever owned. It is incredibly expensive to have repaired, my $2000+ repair job only lasted one day before I started getting clogged nozzles again. The printer is guaranteed for a year, but the repairs are only guaranteed for 90 days, for the obvious reasons. If you think I am kidding, check out the youtube video of a owner beating his printer to death with a sledge hammer, it has almost 50,000 views. Epson phone tech service is staffed with unfriendly people who categorically deny that Epson could ever be at fault for failures on their products. When it works right, the prints are beautiful.

Poor customer service! The printer has had problems since day 1. Do research and you will find out this is a poor printer to invest in, new or used. I will never purchase another Epson product.

I have had many large format printers over the years and never has one been such a massive disappointment. Dont believe the sales hype as I did. This is the most tempermental and difficult maintain to use printer you will ever find. Inks are expensive, and it wastes massive amounts of them. Print head clogs are pretty much constant for those who use the printer less than daily. A replacement head service is 2000 USD and only guaranteed for 90 days. The video of the guy smashing his to bits with a sledgehammer makes perfect sense. I was thinking about setting mine alight first just to differentiate. Do yourself a favor. Buy a Canon. I should say that Ive had several epson fine art printers and while they have always been a bit of a challenge, the 9900 is by far and away the worst. Epson support is arrogant and useless. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE AN EPSON PRINTER

This product should be sold as junk, i have never seen such a worthless piece of junk, the inks are to expensive and you waste so much with the cleaning, the printer is very very sloooow , if you need large format go with HP Not epson, hp printers have proven themselves in production Epson should make cameras or some other s***, not printers.
