Got this for my son ,it seems small and compact ,and quite powerful

I bought this recently to replace one I had for about 15 years, which I been using everyday for my work ( plumbing and heating engineer) so had some stick. This one should last me now I have retired.

Bought this one to replace the first one which was probably faulty from day one as it was always tricky to shift between hammer and drill. It was bought as part of a multi kit. Bought the kit as it was reduced and maybe should have tried Milwaukee this time.

Just bought this for occasional use. Only used for 5 mins so far so can't really comment on it's good or bad points as yet. BUT after reading some of the most recent reviews I'm starting to think did I make a bad choice?

I have used Makita for 15 years, this drill has annoyed me so badly I am ditching my entire tool collection 18v 110v and 240v to switch brands. Had its first repair after drilling maybe 10 holes and has been a consistent pain in the behind since. I wouldn't even recommend this drill to someone I dislike. Unless I wanted for them to be burned when it spontaneously combusts of course. Makita, in the unlikely event you're reading this.... pull this from the shelves, it isn't fit for purpose, and put some effort it to your pack-outs whilst you're at it; They're embarrassing.
