Works fine with my A6500. Surprised and pleased that it works fine from behind the camera. I bought a cheap lookalike first but the battery holder was very insecure. This branded item is much better constructed.

I needed a remote control for the Sony A7iii camera for long exposer pictures and I came across this remote. Just make sure to turn on the IR Camera remote setting to "ON". By default, it is turned off. Go to the Settings tool box / page 3 / IR Remote control. If it does not work, simply remove the camera battery and then turn back on and it should work. You can point the remote to the front or back of the camera to make it work. Hope this helps !

I purchased for my husband on 12/3/16 but TV was not opened or installed until 12/25/2016. Easier to register by mail.

Agree with comment below. Only the shutter and rec buttons work with my NEX 6 and A57.
