Very versatile smooth distortion, and frequency controls , really contour the shape and sound from boost to crunch and through to mild then heavy distortion, no harshness. Bass mid and treble a must to be explored as they add another dimension to the sound of this pedal.

traded up from a Proco Rat 2 and the badass is a much better pedal, the eq controls give you much better tonal control

A highly under rated pedal, goes from gentle overdrive to full on distortion. Will get that overdriven Marshall & Mesa Recto sound. Very versatile, excellent value. MXR do great pedals and this has replaced a boutique distortion pedal that cost twice the price!

Solid construction with simple design. Operation was faultless with clear functionality. Price was excellent. The distortion range was good and provided an excellent addition to my guitar set up.
