I love the simplicity of this amp. I’ve only been playing for 12 months so I’m kinda new to this but I don’t like how some knobs have multiple functions, the Roland avoids this and that’s why it’s deserving of high praise

If you’re looking for a crystal clear clean sound with THE industry standard chorus, a usable reverb and distortion built in, look no further. It’s plenty loud too and relatively light and portable for a combo. Plenty loud enough for small gigs and rehearsals, with loads of output options at the back for larger gigs. This and a 2-button footswitch for the chorus and distortion are all I’ll be needing for a while, although I hear (and don’t doubt) it’s an excellent platform for pedals too. Not one for the metal crowd, but if that’s not your bag, definitely worth the money

I’d never considered this amp as an option previously. Fantastic sound, getting by with on/off pedals for the reverb chorus and distortion. Portable and powerful. Wish I’d known about them years ago.

This JC40 is outstanding. It's so pure and brings out true guitar sounds and also makes any pedal/effect sound, sound just as it was intended to. These models are gems. And it's so loud it shakes my house I can't imagine how loud the 120 is. This is most definitely enough to play smaller to mid size shows. I couldn't be happier and they're was one problem in shipping but Sam Ash handled it immediately and professionally as expected. Always trust Sam Ash.

A great amp, and punchy for its 40 watts. I love the way the chorus sounds, and the reverb on this amp is fantastic. I'm not crazy about the type or quality of the distortion, when that control is turned up, and it seems that a characteristic of the JC series is some white noise, even at lower volumes, that seemsd to increase a bit when the distortion is cranked up.
