At Douglas, I tested Eau de Toilette against Eau de Parfum and immediately preferred the latter. It didn’t smell sharp, like the Toilette did for me; it smelled rounder, more elegant, deeper in comparison. The saleswoman also told me it would last longer. The longevity of the fragrance is very important to me because I don’t want to "touch up" at work. Put it on in the morning, and then I’m done! A great scent, smells like summer and sunshine, if I can put it that way. The orange-brown color is on point. Somehow it really smells like I imagine the scent of a sunset.

I love the scent of the 2002 version. For this reason, I ordered the new edition of Sun Men (also due to the reasonable price). What can I say... I miss some strong notes that are much more prominent in the old classic. When applying the fragrance, you quickly realize that you should apply a few more sprays if you want the scent to be noticed at all. In the first half hour at work, I did receive a compliment or two, but the scent quickly faded after that. Longevity and sillage are practically nonexistent, and fragrance-wise it feels (as already described) as if a silencer has been put on the old classic and it has been placed in a new bottle. I was a bit disappointed; of course, I didn't expect a H/S bomb from Jil Sander, but you do expect more than what this presentation offers. For a nice summer scent in the lower price range, you should definitely stick with the classic Sun Men from 2002. You can't go wrong with that, especially regarding the price-performance ratio.
