Lalique White Homme är en fräsch, ren citrus- och peppardoft med en elegant, minimalistisk stil. A truly wonderful, fresh fragrance with beautiful spicy elements. At first, it is noticeably spicier and more citrusy. After about 2 hours, however, it retreats considerably, and all that remains is a very gentle, close-to-the-skin and beautiful ambery scent. But you have to get quite close to the skin to smell anything at all. If the fragrance were somewhat stronger and longer-lasting, it would definitely be one of the best summer fragrances for me that do not go in the typical „Blue-Fragrance“ direction, which I do not particularly like anyway.

The opening features a sharpened pencil with a hint of citrus. The wood here is fresher than the bergamot. While this is certainly not unpleasant, it is confusing, even though I expect a prominent woodiness from Lalique. As it dries down, everything blends into a pleasant, spicy, woody freshness, with the spice remaining clear and cool; essentially pepper. Little sillage, longevity is okay, 5-6 hours. Somehow it reminds me of Silver Mountain Water in the way it affects me. Not that they smell similar, I feel them rather similarly, with the difference that I will wear the White with pleasure. Exactly what I expected; Encre Blanche. Citrus, cool spice, wood, that's it.
