Parfums de Marly Pegasus EDP Spray 75 ml

Pegasus by Parfums de Marly opens sweet, floral, and slightly soapy for me. Right from the opening, the scent feels a bit oppressive. I quickly get the feeling that it constricts me instead of unfolding pleasantly. Unfortunately, I don't like the scent overall at all. The combination of bitter almond and lavender simply doesn't work for my nose. This very mixture feels unbalanced to me and reinforces the slightly synthetic impression I have throughout the entire duration. Objectively, one must be fair: longevity and sillage are good. The scent lasts a long time and projects well. So the problem here is not the performance, but clearly the composition itself. For me personally, Pegasus is therefore nothing. Too synthetic, too oppressive, and simply not my kind of fragrance. One of those cases where you realize that taste is ultimately more important than hype or performance.

I find Pegasus Exklusif by Parfum de Marly to be the perfect fragrance against negative thoughts in the dark season. The cardamom and pepper in the top notes set the direction right away, starting off very dominant. The bitter almond in the heart note is pronounced, and the oud and guaiac wood in the base give the fragrance almost a leathery, dark quality. However, it is not musty, but well-balanced and symbolizes strength and endurance. A very masculine scent for strong characters. Not for boys, but for real men. Over time, the fragrance becomes smoother and more vanilla-like. This fits well into the winter months. The amber adds a slightly alcoholic note to the fragrance, which harmonizes well overall. A scent for special occasions, not for daily wear, in my opinion. Very interesting!
