D5 means a dilution of the original substance by a factor of 10x10x10x10x10 = 1:100,000. This fragrance is suitable for homeopathy. You can hardly smell the original scent. Therefore, I used my 100 ml bottle as Pre-Shave. It works so well. But who pays CHF 133.00 to CHF 54.00 for such a thin little water? Well, since the Cologne Tonique was a revelation, as a fan of the original scent, I also bought this very last flanker of the series. Only the iconic bottle and the beautiful blue are very good. The scent itself is so utterly insignificant. A shame for YSL!! Stay away!!!

The scent here is probably typical of what one might expect from an 0815 men's fragrance in a low price segment: - A very, almost strikingly inconspicuous DNA, which starts with a colorful mix that roughly covers almost everything a perfumer has at their disposal in terms of fragrance categories, but then cannot decide which direction to take and therefore simply fades away in this chaos - Such a weak sillage that after 3 (!!) sprays on the same spot on the wrist immediately after application, you can hardly perceive anything - An equally catastrophic longevity, which after 1-2 hours leaves nothing of the scent detectable - even from close range. If such a thing costs 10-15€, I would still dismiss it as a drugstore scent with a mass-appeal presence on the test strip. But 90+€ for such a thematic failure? An already absolutely uninteresting and in every respect far too weak scent that wants to compete in price with some niche fragrances.

Scented greetings to the community, this is my first review of a fragrance on this site, so please don't be too harsh with my virgin words ;). Shortly after inhalation, several thoughts rush into my mind. First of all, I must say that this EDC smells very familiar and fresh. I definitely perceive the aquatic notes and bergamot. Only the ginger, which is so prominently advertised on the bottle, remains a mystery to my nose. (Maybe it's also because my little nose isn't very refined yet, who knows) However, the durability/sillage and thus the price/performance level (This fragrance apparently is no longer available, yet the internet keeps throwing up prices between 100-150 Euros) are abysmal. As soon as the fragrance is sprayed on, it only delights my olfactory receptors for a vanishingly short time. That's too little for an EDC, even for me. In conclusion, I can say that this fragrance was a nice find in my old cabinets, albeit not much more than that. Cheers!

It is quite a fresh scent, which is not typical for this line. The longevity is the same as with all other fragrances, easily 5 hours, maybe a bit longer on clothing. I would only wear it in summer or at the gym, nothing else. Personally, I don't like it; I find it a very unisex, linear fragrance. My wife is thrilled with it, but as I said, it's not for me.
