Great sound and is getting even better with use. I also bought small stands to lift speakers

I love these speakers. They put out of great sound for their diminutive size and are front firing so placement is really easy....against wall, on a desk, on bookshelf, mounted on wall (there are threads for mounts on bottom), dorm room, etc. I have tried them with all sorts of amps, vintage and new, Class A and D; they'll take any amplification thrown at them. They are really small bookshelf speakers, almost desktop size, and I'm not sure there are any passive speakers at this size that are better. It seems a certain sect of "audiophile" loves to hate Audioengine for whatever reason; maybe because of the "high" cost? You might be able to get "better" at a lower cost (Q Acoustics, Wharfedale, Cambridge) but none of them are going to be this small Either way, I think it's an unsubstantiated dislike.

Right Hand speaker quit working after 10 months of light use, not good.

I'm not commenting on the sound, because I still haven't been able to mount and connect these speakers. Which brings me to my main complaint--Audioengine's customer service is pretty pathetic. There was no help at all in directing me toward a good product for mounting these on a wall. They referred me to Omnimount 25, which I bought, but it has a plate that is way too big for the mounting screw holes in the back of the P4s. So I had to return the mounts. The next mount I bought (Omnimount 10) seemed like it would work from the product info, but also didn't fit. When I got back in touch with Audioengine, they gave me a generic list of other wall mount companies, but nothing that will necessarily work with the dimensions of these particular speakers. Not helpful.
