I use it in a 12 m2 room. We mainly listen to classical music. The look (black color) is understated. The sound is clean and sufficiently loud. Only the very low frequency is missing, if pushed a imbalance may appear for certain tracks. It is difficult to adjust the cross-over between the midrange and the bass. I have a MR4 paired with a T5 subwoofer, not easy either.

More than satisfactory sound for compact speakers. Maybe a little too much bass for my taste, but overall pleasant. Use for video editing and classical listening. Delivery deadline respected. I recommend!

The Edifier MR5 speakers are stylish, sound superb, won’t break the bank, and work for everyday listening and amateur music production alike.

Incredibly flat speaker in terms of frequency response. No noticeable dip in either the high or mid frequencies. The bass is incredibly present for bookshelf speakers, making a subwoofer optional if you want a truly full range response. The app is pretty good and allows you to adjust the frequency response to your liking and, above all, to your taste. But you can also control the volume and use your phone as a remote control, as well as stream your music directly via Bluetooth.

I've never been interested in edifier speakers because I don't like that V-shaped sound signature that most mainstream brands have, but with the MR5s you get a sound that's neutral but not boring, a stage that's not the widest but not the narrowest either, and the bass is just crazy for speakers of this size with a dynamic range that's still amazing. In short, for 250 euros it's just excellent - I can't wait to recommend them!
