These are a good, solid speaker stand. I like the dome-shaped rubber feet and the high-density foam pads on the top platform.

I absolutely love these speakers. Small, yet extremely powerful. With no distortion at full volume which, let's face it, it's the reason we buy powered speakers. Simple to use bass and treble control. Easy to use remote to switch between RCA & Bluetooth. And in a range of colours that allowed me to match them to my turntable.

Delivered a few hours ago and I have stopped listening to them. Great sound! Previously I had Harman Kardom Soundsticks 2 which were old but generally OK. The YU4 are considerably better for sound. The separation is great too. A major advantage is the excellent remote control. I can now sprawl on the sofa and alter the level as the volume often alters on Spotify. I could leap up to keep adjusting the vol. Well, maybe struggle up and shamble over. I am an old man now; where did the years go? I still have to put the little feet on the speakers but I was to excited to get listening to do it as I set them up. Later! I am told this can improve them even more. I can't wait. Well, actually I can because I am enjoying the music so much right now. Have not tried hooking up my turntable yet and to be frank I may not bother. I have a lot of music on my computer and Spotify has an awful lot more.

These speakers produce rich, full, high-quality sound with nice treble and decent bass. Also, their built-in amplifier plays pretty loud. However, from an aesthetic standpoint they are very plain and uninspiring in appearance. They are drab-looking blocks with no beveled edges and even lack speaker grills to protect their drivers, which is puzzling. Nice looking speaker grills would give these speakers an elegant, finished appearance that better matches their quality sound. Their absence only makes them look like old speakers that have been owned by an idiot who tore them off after accidentally damaging them. The so-called "minimalist" styling of so many products today only makes them look cheap and low-quality. Thankfully, the sound these YU4 speakers produce belies their appearance.
