I bought these headphones because they received very good on-line reviews and because they cover the ears. I wear over-the-ear hearing aids that were not working well with my on-the ear Grados. I get much better sound transmission and quality with these Sennheisers, as my hearing aids are inside the cups and get a better exposure to the drivers than I was getting with the Grados. I'm very satisfied with the HD650's.

At first: neutral, slightly muffled sound, whatever the DAC/AMP. After 50 hours of break-in: total transformation. ?? Music: dynamic rock and pop, wide soundstage, rich timbres. ?? FPS: perfect localisation, realistic shots, not distinct - immersion and a definite advantage. ?? Comfort: can be used for hours without tiring. Weaknesses: flat at the start, initial tightness, but it eventually fades into oblivion. Conclusion: after breaking in, an exceptional pair of headphones for music and gaming.
