Got me into drinking coffee daily, does not compare. With any coffee you can buy in coffee shop, even the expensive ones. Does consume rather large quantities of coffee, but well worth it!!!

Works fine for two months, now the grinder doesn't want to grind enough coffee so whatever comes out is incredibly weak and horrible. Have emailed Krups customer services, will update with details of how that process goes. Edit - Krups customer service were useless, they kept asking me for the serial number and then doing nothing with it. Amazon however have been brilliant and have shipped me a replacement

Quite simply one of my best purchases...EVER. I love my coffee and this machine delivers. Its only as good as the coffee bean you put into it. Now, many users have stated their preferred bean, Lavazza Rossa, Illy...etc. But by far the beast bean is Costcos Kirkland House Blend. It is simply the best. The Kirkland bean is half the price (£8) per kilo than the others on Amazon, and its better than all the others. I've had the machine for a year and it still performs as it did on day one. Trust me - this makes a big difference to your life.....lol.

Excellent machine, simple and easy to make great coffee, highly recommended. Don't forget water is the largest component of your cup of java so treat your Krups to something other than chlorine filled tap-water. I use Waitrose Essential still mineral water, pretty cheap for a pack of 4 large bottles.

Pros: Nice tasting coffee. Looks great. Cons: Uses twice as many beans than stove top espresso. Makes so much noise to crank out 1 mug full of coffee its unusable in the morning (when you want coffee). If you live in a shared flat or above people, just don't bother. Its like starting a chainsaw in the morning. I have gone back to stive top espresso. Takes about the same time, is quiet, uses less beans and costs £50, not £330.
