Great coffee machine for those who want more than a couple of different options and different user settings. Makes great coffee, the milk froth isn't like you would receive in a cafe but improves if you use full cream milk and if it's been out of the fridge for 10 minutes. Plenty of options to customise and fine tune your machine to make coffee that's perfect for you. Looks sleek and professional plus the drip tray, coffee grinds container and milk frother are all dishwasher safe.

I'd been making do with pods for years, but decided to buy a proper coffee machine. this one had the advantage of being able to easily adjust the various coffee types the way I wanted them, and it would remember them for next time. Now I can mix and blend my beans the way I want, AND have it brewed the way I want as well.

You just need to tune your machine to you.I adjust the grind down to finer as I like a stronger brew. Adjust when it is actually grinding - push down and twist - its all online. The water levels I also wind back. Just need to try to get to understand what bit of the machine is doing what and its pretty simple. Google and You Tube help. Philips info is brilliant and they are so professional. I bought this machine for work so I have it at work, and my older one at home.

My husband wanted a coffee machine but after attending demos and sampling coffees at Harvey Norman he advised that none of them made the coffee hot enough.I then dropped into HN another day and was telling the young sales person how disappointed my husband was and she suggested the Phillips fully automated coffee machine saying it makes the hotest coffee out of all the machines.I gave the machine as a birthday present to him as a surprise and he loves this coffee machine and it has a program to save how you want your coffee. Can definitely recommend the Phillips coffee maker! Also I paid half the price of the more expensive machines.

The initial instructions in the manual doesn't state clearly which way the 1 to 12 on the grinding scale is fine or coarse and the markings are so light to be just about invisible. The higher number 12 is not the stronger grind (fine) as we thought but the most coarse (lighter) grind. So 1 is fine grind which is stronger coffee, and 12 is coarse grind so weaker/watery. After 2 months of horrible coffee and wrong info, we gave it one last chance and set it to 3 and it made excellent coffee. Phew! The profile settings make it fantastic to individualize it for 3 people in the house. The grind may change depending on particular brands and flavors but you'll get better results down at the lower numbers. Have fun.
