Good coffee machine, but it is an old model like 4 yrs old. At this price point of £500, you can buy newer models from other brands with a better milking frothing system. 1. Do not make milk hot, so you end up with warm coffee. 2. Best for continues coffee making when you don't have to remove the milking tube very often.. 3. Annoying if you are making one coffee only as you can not leave the milk tube in the milk. You have to remove it, wipe it, and put it in the holder or a separate container after using. Otherwise, when the machine self cleanses after use, water will get in to your milk. 4. You need to use long life milk as putting the tube in and out miltiple times in your milk container can spoil it easily. I just hope they made an external milk container that can easily be attached and removed from the rubber tube for this model.

I use this every day to make at least 2 lattes, and sometimes use the steamed milk to make hot chocolate. Other than one hiccup where it stopped being able to draw milk (it turned out it was almost due a calc and clean cycle) it has been flawless. Visually it looks good but there is an over-use of plastic where the description at sale implies the front plates are metal. It is quite bulky so ensure you have enough counter space for it. It estimates when you need to empty the drip tray which can be somewhat annoying when you already emptied it. You need to clean the internals once a week or the coffee starts tasting bitter. The automated calc and clean is great, although it takes a long time. You have to buy two seperate cleaning tablets for it, but they dont come in the same quantity, it would be better if you could buy a cleaning pack. I would buy another Siemens coffee machine based on my experience with this one.

Mantenance is simple an strightforward with all of the parts easily accessed, so that keeping it clan and in good working order is not difficult. The variety of brews available and the ease that you can select a stength and volume that is dispensed is impressive. This is a simple a strightforward machine that delivers great coffee.

This coffee machine knocked it out of the park for me, all my friends have their coffee differently, so i use all the different features, black, macho, to milk froth with 1,2 Espresso's .my only problem i don't have hard water, so don't need to go through all the scaling clean, some use bottle water. so please provide a cleaning feature that can accomimdate us.
