The GoPro HERO 7 Black is still an excellent action camera. This was the first HERO to feature HyperSmooth image stabilisation, and you can shoot up to 4K in stunning clarity. You'll need to pick up a H8 or later if you want a frameless design, and the software isn't quite as good as newer models, but the GoPro HERO 7 will be plenty capable enough for many people's needs.

The GoPro HERO7 Black is excellent for action video. This well-built, portable camera can easily be mounted on a helmet rig or other action cam mount. It's also waterproof down to 33 feet. Its video stabilization feature is highly effective at reducing camera shake, allowing you to capture smooth action footage. It also has plenty of high frame rate options in 1080p and records 4k video up to 60 fps, allowing you to record fast action and slow motion. That said, while video quality is fine in brighter conditions, the camera isn't really suitable for low light situations.

Before buying I read many reviews, some were positive and some were not but I decided to take the chance and buy it. Im really pleased with the quality of the camera and also the image quality is really good. My only gripe is that it has frozen on me twice and Ive only had it a fortnight. On taking out the battery and re inserting it that does the job but by that time you have missed whatever you wanted to capture. Battery life is not great so I would buy some spares.Someone told me that if you back up your videos/photos you should reset the camera to default factory settings and that would fix the problem, I will maybe try that

I had a problem with it at first, it seemed to lock up and not respond. Turned out to be the card, gave it a full format in a PC (not a quick format) and all's been well since. Stunning images, I use it for cycle trips. The stabilisation is unbelievable. The sound is OK, suffers a lot from wind noise but the image is stunning in HD, never tried the 4K because I want the stabilisation. Shoot at 50 FPS and the motion is just so smooth. OK battery life, you get a little over an hour. You do need a few for a long ride though, I have three. Changing the battery is a bit of a pain as you have to take it out of the mount,

The last two models add little to the package, the 9 "has better stabilization"? sure it crops the view more so obviously it is a tiny bit better but you lose more of your scene. Anything else is very much better than the previous models, shame GoPro is a company I won't support in the future as they do not bother to add minor features like "Webcam" use which is all a firmware thing just to force you buy a new camera, not even Apple does that and it does not get worst than Apple generally, but here we go GoPro is, so next camera will be another brand, but if you want a GoPro really do not waste money and get this camera.
