Manfrotto 290 Series MK290LTA3-V - Stativ

I have not used a tripod for years when I bought this one. Used on first night with fumbling though the settings and angles achievable. Will consider buying a bag to make travel with the tripod easier.

Bought as a lighter weight option tripod - my other Swarovski tripod is heavier. Using with Swarovski ATX 85 scope - it is stable and works, though the sliding quick release mount I find awkward. It needs to be better designed, the turning screw to tighten onto the Arca-Swiss plate is small and 'flimsy' and doesn't feel solid enough when tightened. If I was looking to buy this tripod for lighter weight I would go for a more expensive carbon-fibre and look at the release plate design more carefully if buying again - benefit of hindsight..!

This is a lightweight product and looking forward to using it when out and about

Intended for use with a spotting scope. Nice light tripod, quality finish, solid and smooth in operation.

Good legs, but the "fluid head" isn't really a fluid head.
