It's a very stable platform for video use but it's heavy. There is a manufacturing fault with the spreader but Wex are replacing this.

Very well engineered and does the job well. It's heavy and needs to go on a sturdy tripod tho.

I was looking for a reasonably lightweight tripod and head for my GH5 rig and after some research this one fitted the bill perfectly. The balance setting is great, and it will even hold my top heavy rig in place (I may attach the monitor directly to the head though). The fluid motion is fantastic and produces great pans and tilts, as well as holding everything securely in place. There's a bubble level with a backlight which is useful in the dark. The tripod itself is well made and quick to set up. The centre spreader is adjustable, although it is fixed and can't be moved to a lower spreader (not an issue for me). When clamped up it feels very secure with no worry of it toppling over. I may upgrade the tripod to the new 645 Fast at a later date, however this one serves my purposes perfect for now. If you're in the market for a decent tripod with an excellent fluid head for video then look no further, the quality for the price is excellent.
