This is a very high quality product. I have a lot of Silva items (compass, lighter) and have come to rely on them in the outdoors. These binoculars are no exception. Very good grip and balance, easy to use and focus. Construction of carrier bag is robust and nice wide neck strap is comfortable and robust to support their weight. Amazon's price was competitive but my only gripe would be that these are a bit pricey compared to opposition 10 x 25's (eg Nikon and Olympus) but they certainly perform well and so am very satisfied.

Out of the packaging they feel like a really well made, well engineered piece of equipment. Easy to handle, easy to set and even better with the provided neck strap. They come with a belt bag which is ideal. Even the manual is useful. I now don't work and enjoy watching the birds from my conservatory so I thought they would be ideal and they are. My friend and her husband borrowed them for their bird watching in Gambia and said because they are moisture proof, they were "spot on". They had dropped them (and were worried) but because they're rubber coated they're none the worse for wear. They said that it was great because they were quite light compared to others they had used and that the belt bag made carrying them ideal. Spot On.

This small, compact set of binoculars feel great in the hand and offer great clarity. I use these binoculars in the African bush for wildlife spotting and also as an aid to navigation when checking map to ground. The rubber extendable cups for spectacle users are actually quite good to use without specs. The binoculars however do not come with a set if lens caps although it does come with a small case. It is quite a snug fit so I tend to leave the binoculars out to save having to scrabble for them when I need them in a rush. As a result of leaving them out of the case they normally rattle around in the storage compartment between the driver and passenger seat of my land rover. This means they are subjected to quite a lot of vibration and rattling around but the rubberised armour keeps them fairly safe. No scratches to the lenses so far and they've had quite a lot of use.
