Vortex Solo 8x36 Monokikare

My first purchase of a Vortex product and I am very impressed. Bought to slip in my pocket whilst out walking or in my pack on the hills. This product is perfect for the needs required and with the fairly large objective lense they are great for gathering light.

As always Castle Cameras Salisbury branch,is the place to go. I am delighted with the product Vortex Solo 8x36 R/T Monocular. Great advice and perfect customer service. So glad there is a local branch, i much prefer face to face; rather than online. But if online is your thing, its a very usable well presented Web page.

I already have a lovely pair of Vortex 10x25 binoculars but they're a bit too bulky for a casual ramble. A monocular seemed a good idea and after a lot of online research I settled on the Vortex Solo 8x36. Castle Cameras offered the best price so I made the purchase. I'm so glad I did - the quality is as good as I expected from Vortex and the Solo 8x36 performs significantly better then the binoculars in low light conditions, as well as being easier to carry. My only criticism concerns the large Velcro fastening on the carry case - it's really noisy - but I found a microfibre pouch that does the job and is even easier to slip into a coat pocket. Now a very happy customer!
