Loud and piercing beep every time I press a button - and no apparent way to turn this off. No mention of this on packaging, website description. Sadly I cannot return the scale as I disposed of packaging before realising this was an issue, and shop says there is no fault.

The latest model of this type is flatter and wider than the older model it replaced and has an improved bigger digital display making it easier to read. Our old model which recently stopped working, we have had for about 8 years working perfectly and so we looked no further than getting the same scales again.
