... but WHY would a compass manufacturer remove a significant section of the orienting lines!!! This definitely makes accuracy more tricky, especially in the field. Without this problem I'd have given the product 5 stars, although I'd comment that the baseplate could be a little more robust, I've already smashed one after falling with the compass in my hand. This would still be my first choice for a replacement but I'll wait and see if Suunto reinstate the orienting lines.

I´m very happy with this compass. It is precise, easy to handle and of good quality. The delivery was fast and the compass well packed.

The compass seems accurate in a quick test in the city. think its going to be great in the back country.

Nice little compass. There is no adjustablility for angle of declination on this model. But out of the box it seems to find North consistently and it is easy to use.
