Cris Tales levererar en visuellt fantastisk JRPG-upplevelse med unika tidsmanipulerande mekaniker som låter spelare se förflutna, nutid och framtid samtidigt. Köpare kommer att uppskatta de charmiga karaktärerna, den engagerande berättelsen om en hittad familj och det tillfredsställande sättet sidouppdrag synligt påverkar varje stads framtid. Spelet hålls dock tillbaka av anmärkningsvärda problem: striden känns repetitiv och utnyttjar inte fullt ut sin kreativa potential, Switch-spelare möter frustrerande långa laddningstider, och den obligatoriska timing-mekanismen kan visa sig otillgänglig för vissa spelare. Svårighetsgraden är ojämn med plötsliga boss-toppar, och slutet känns antiklimatiskt efter 30-40 timmars spelande. Trots dessa brister kommer fans av turbaserade RPG:er som värdesätter atmosfär och berättande över mekanisk perfektion att hitta ett trevligt 30-40 timmars äventyr, även om det faller kort för moderna klassiker som Bravely Default.

Not a big fan of RPGs as i don’t really like just sitting clicking stuff, but this one hooked me. Honestly, was great. Not done with it, but for 10 bucks on all platforms (Xbox one, Xbox Series X, Ps4 PS5, switch, switch lite and the oled. Didn’t mention either digital consoles cause you of course can’t get the physical games on a digital console.) Not much to say besides it’s great! The time mechanics are great, gameplay is actually somewhat fun, Good story, and just overall good! Not a full review, but watch IGNs review on it, they get it right. Cya!

The shipping was quick. The game itself, well, the mechanics are not very good but the art is really pretty. Too many loading screens and the game doesn’t fully tell you how to use certain skills that are vital to you (For example, it didn’t teach me how to scan enemies for weaknesses and had to figure it out myself). Overall, it’s one of those games to pass the time.

The game has it all, magic, time travel, and many NPCs to interact with. You do not get overwhelmed with new characters and challenges early on. The new characters and challenges come at appropriate intervals, challenging enough to keep you interested but not too much to make you give up early.

I love JRPGs and ARPGs. The voice acting was jarring at times as well. Where this game thrives is the hand drawn artwork and the puzzle and the play with time. Although simplistic, a great idea and the makers have so much to be proud of. This is a game that so many ideas can be birthed from and should-I hope-be built upon in the future in other games. If you love old school JRPGs then this is an amazing homage and you’ll likely enjoy it.
