NYX Turnt Up Läppstift - Rags To Riches 14

I really like these actually! I have Dahlia and mirage. Dahlia is a dark plummy purple, almost black. Mirage is a light nude beige with pink. Im extremely pale and mirage is a very nice nude for me. These lipsticks lasts a long time on my lips (few hours) and they fade nicely. They smell nice, kind of slightly vanilla/sugar. They feel great on the lips too, very thin and moisturizing but also opaque in color. I like it! I will purchase other shades eventually :) I gave a lower packaging score because honestly its ugly. I hate it. I hate that there are printed words all over it and that the tube is skinny..... I guess I just prefer a traditional lipstick kind of tube/packaging. Overall though, a great drugstore lipstick, worth a try!

I love most of the NYX products I've trued, and I wanted to love this lipstick. The color is gorgeous, I got the one called Twisted, which is a bright, vibrant pinky purple. The pigmentation is out of this world, it looks great on, but it got sort of splotchy over the course of the day. Had to reapply about 3 hours later without eating or drinking. It stained my lips, but not in an attractive way. It also transfers VERY easily, and I'm a messy person, so I tend to go for stuff that doesn't stay slick on your lips for too long. It gets kind of sticky and the color leaves with it. The packaging is cheap, and the lid has already fallen off a few times in my bag, so that's no good. I'll probably find a way to wear it because I don't like throwing products away when I've barely used them, but I wouldn't buy it again. I give it 3 stars, only for the awesome color and pigmentation.

This lipstick line used to be called NYX High Voltage Lipstick. It's now NYX Turnt up! I grabbed the shade Flawless and like it. It's a very beige nude. Since I'm a huge nude lipstick fan, I have a ton of nude shades - and I will say that for the $6, this isn't worth the price. I like it, but I have an ELF $1 Essentials lipstick (Nostalgic) that wears exactly the same (little more pink toned, so more like NYX Turnt Up in Stone) but for so much less money. I also find that the NYX formula is a bit drying. If you google swatches - take them to heart. These are very pigmented and true to the colors. I thought Flawless could be a nice natural nude -it's very very beige and gray toned and one swipe will make my lips look not nude, but gray white tan. If you are looking for a bold color - I think these would be worth the price (like the shade Playdate - a lilac) because you are going to get your money's worth. But for $6 for a nude lippie - no. Would consider buying a purple shade though!
