The Product Details state "Compatible with Kensington T-Bar lock slots and Noble Wedgelock", but this is incorrect. My Dell Latitude has a Noble Wedgelock slot, but this does not fit it. The first 2 item photos show, what appears to be for a Wedgelock, but the next 2 clearly show the T-bar locking interface.

The pictures on staples website on how the computer lock looks like are terrible and the description doesn't have enough detail to know what it looks like. I went to the store and had to return one because I couldn't tell how the locked looked and upon opening it I could see immediately that it wasn't going to work. So an employee helped me on-line (very helpful person) He unfortunately wasn't able to see any difference of how the locks are too. Targus locks do not work on asus computers. The one prong security knob is too small for it to lock into place.

I have purchased other defcon locks for my laptops before and went with this because of the "serialized" feature, which I thought would help me as I, as senior citizen, often forget the combination. It is just like any ordinary lock with cable, except that the combination is not resettable, and instead is written on a piece of paper which you are supposed to keep in a safe place, for future reference. This feature could be good or bad for some people, and useless for most. I gave it 4 stars because the locks I bought seem to work well for my purposes most of the time. Would I buy it again or recommend it? Nope to both.

Worked perfectly and it is just what I needed for some security in my room when traveling with the company laptop.
