My first hokas. Went to the PNW and put 50 miles on them. Held up well, have no complaints.

Amazing traction with the Vibram sole, and just the right amount of supportive cushioning. I’ve found other Hoka’s to have too much cushion and a sole that wears out in no time. This model is different. I didn’t need the GTX Goretex, but I’m sure it will help me next fall/winter.

I walked into REI to check out a couple pairs of shoes. I had no intention of buying a pair. I just kind of wanted to see what my shoe size was for boots and hiking shoes. I had an absolutely stellar employee walk me through his knowledge. I was going hiking in state Park in Virginia and I’m going to the Colorado flat irons next month. I was super curious if I should get a pair of boots or shoes and he helped guide me to these Hokas and after a 17 mile long hike, my feet and ankles felt amazing. I had maybe 15 pounds on my back. I just couldn’t stop talking about how much I enjoyed my shoes. They were amazing, made my feet feel like clouds. It made the experience so great while my friend was seeing their complaining about his toe because his boots weren’t doing him any favors, I was running around and jumping and having a blast. 10 out of 10 shoe. Will be buying another pair once these go out of style.

The Speedgoat 6 GTX is not quite what I expected from Hoka. It's very sturdy, fits fine and is cushy enough with great traction over rocky terrain. My only complaints are the lack of stretch in the material and the weird tongue, which is short and difficult to pull up. More use may break-in the fit but the tongue... not the best design.

These seem like very nice shoes. The length seems true to size (12). However, they are very narrow and I was not able to comfortably fit in them. I do not have exceptionally wide feet. 12 regular is my consistent size across many brands for many years. Too bad, I wanted to like these beautiful shoes.
