Hoka One One W Bondi Sr Black/Black

These are pretty stiff and surprisingly uncomfortable. The top of the tongue also cuts into my ankle with each step. Definitely returning.

As advertised they are super comfortable and padded but most important they have a wide toe box and support my tender big toe so that I walk with zero pain. They are a little small so I got 1/2 size bigger. I had gout and discovered a bit of arthritis in my big toe too, hence buying these shoes.

This SR model of Bondi is based on the #9 version of the shoe. I have used Bondi through versions 6,7,and 8 and LOVED them. But not the 9's!! Hoka made some change to the midsole(?) that makes the ball of my foot hurt. It took me a while to figure out that it was the new 9 version that was the problem. I have had trouble with every version 9 Bondi that I have tried. They last for a couple weeks feeling good and then the ball of my foot gets painful.

I think they are okay but feels like a little bit like hard and not that comfort like the normal hokas

Left shoe was defective- First time I put them on I felt something digging into my toes and when I felt inside the lining was coming apart . Right shoe was made fine. Will be returning them. They should be checked before sending out to customers. I need a walking shoe with stability for flat feet, over pronation and metatarsalgia, I put my own arches in. Wanted a shoe to use in rainy weather.
