Hoka One One W Gaviota 6 Black/White

New running shoe, wider sole. This makes it more laterally stable and helps to absorb the blow. I would call these more of a walking/everyday shoe for my taste on hard surfaces. Traction would not be good enough on a wet trail. But that isn't my purpose for these shoes, so I am stoked as I try to solve my knee and back pain with a totally different feeling on my feet.

These sneakers are so comfortable. I love the wide toe box. This is my 10th pair.

Bought as a gift for my wife and she was very pleased with the style and comfort.

Unsure of size I called and spoke with Hoka representative who told me the toe box was wide so I should order my regular shoe size and did not need wide. First ordered 6.5 M and it was too tight. I reordered 6.5 W and it was a perfect fit. These sneakers are true to size and very comfortable.

Love this shoe. Nice room in the toe box. Very comfortable with great support. I tend to pronate on my right. This counters that nicely. I use this for long brisk walks of 4-5 mile duration on asphalt, hard gravel roads and compacted dirt roads. This works perfectly for me.
