Hoka One One Bondi 9 Löparskor

Love these HOKA Bondi 9 sneakers! So light and comfortable! I just wear them for walking/hiking, not running, but they work great for my purposes. REI did not have my size (5) in stock at the store, but ordering them for home delivery was easy and the shoes came quickly.

I like the fit of the shoes. Sizing seems accurate, I’m normally 9.5-10 and 10s have a nice fit, not too tight while being snug enough not to slip around. They really feel comfortable when you put them on. The large sole/heel will take some getting used to, it changes your stride. In the little bit of running I’ve tried so far, the extra cushioning feels like it reduces impact of running. I’ve got bad knees so running in recent years always makes them ache for days after. I’m hoping these will improve that. I haven’t had them long enough to know how they’ll hold up, so I’ll set after more time using them. First impressions so far is that these could be a solution if injuries and age make running difficult. It’s at least worth a shot if you’ve been struggling with pain or given up for lower impact sports like swimming or biking.

The toe box is too narrow. I hope the next model is wider. I'm re-ordering but changing to a wide size to see if that fixes the problem.

The best cushioning Hoka’s. The Bondi 9 is even better than the Bondi 8.

I buy HOKA because I need a deep and wide toe area. I don't run rather walk 5+ miles a day. As I have gotten older, I noticed that my toes tend to swell in these long walks. This shoe is not as deep or wide as past HOKA shoes. I sure wish that HOKA would bring back the full deep and wide toe shoes for maximum cushioning. Walking on city sidewalks are hard on the body.
