Awful color choices for the women's Speedgoat 7. It's like Hoka's marketing team were shown the absolute worst early 1990s tennis shoe color palette ran with it, so to speak. Also, you can't necessarily size up for the Speedgoat 7 if you you have wider feet because longer doesn't = wider. Think twice before you buy these.

WOWWWW I upgraded to these from a pair of trendy trail running shoes for added comfort and grip knowing I was hiking Half Dome soon. I broke them in, and am typing this 1 day post Half Dome hike. You NEEEEED these - I cannot believe how comfortable they are (I got a half size up). My feet didn’t ache at all, I couldn’t believe it. And the shoes didn’t budge/slip once on the granite going up/down the cables. I’m obsessed with these!

HOKA really screwed up the sizing with this model. Great shoe but the sizing is wrong.

The first pair of Speedgoats I bought were the 5s. I fell in love with them as soon as I put them on. No break-in time needed, they were comfortable right from the start. I put off buying another pair because by then the 6s were out and they didn't get very good reviews. I was anxiously awaiting the 7s and bought a pair in June. I have put close to 100 miles on them and still don't like the way they fit. The toe box is much tighter than the 5s. I even tried a number of potential tricks for helping stretch the toe box and I used a different lacing pattern to help with the feel. That helped a little, but still not as comfortable as the 5s. I really wish Hoka would bring back the 5s.
