AFter using both the Rode video mic and video mic Pro, and being very disappointed in the sounds of those, I bought this on the recommendation of an engineer friend. A bit more expensive than the Rode, but the difference is enormous! Beautiful clean, clear well-balanced sound from this mic.

Great mic. Makes voices go into computers and recorders from far(ish) away. Great basic shotgun.
