It is casio; the best. Please go back to the plastic cover. It is simply safer, manegeable, and better. The cover that comes now force you to spend more time taking care of protecting it than working on it. Thank you

It's a really good calculator for scientific purposes. I'm a grad engineering student and this works really well for me.

I had the FX602p for 25 years. It went everywhere with me until the case started to fall apart. I tried the HP35s but found it very unsatisfactory. Eventually I found the FX5800p... I didn't need any graphing functions... and found it to be the perfect replacement for my now dead 602. The hard flip case cover is one draw back. The hinge breaks easily as I discovered when I dropped it from a height of only 3 feet onto soft carpet. Apart from that it is a lovely 'no frills' programmable, scientific calculator that fits beautifully into my pocket and will probably go everywhere with me for another 25 years... if I live that long.

I am a big fan of Casio calculators since more than 30 years ago. The only thing I didn't like about this calculator is its hard case. I would rather a flexible one like those in old Casios.
