Had to take it back. I was under the impression that it does not need to be connected to laptop through any port but just Bluetooth. My laptop does not have enough usb ports so I had to return it.

It's too small for serious work but as something to carry around with a laptop this is great. Microsoft makes very good hardware and this is no exception.
