A really impressive electrical chainsaw. Can’t fault it so far and produces 2300watts with a 16inch bar.

I bought it to fell a small tree,it worked fine, half an hour's unabused use, then stored it in my garage A large tree has come down today, ah I thought,I can use my chainsaw. It worked fine, then after about five minutes use it stopped,I thought a fuse had blown but no,it's just packed up and I have paid £127 for about thirty five minutes use and I'm gutted. Update.....I realised that the chainsaw had a two year warranty,so I contacted Ryobi, they didn't want to know, passed me back to the retailer.Ryobi gave me incorrect information and very poor 'service' . Amazon did the right thing and are arranging a refund. I have since bought another chainsaw (different brand).

Excelent tool. Had too clear a very overgrown garden and this was worth it's weight in gold. I did think there was something wrong at first couldn't get it to work, found that it needed quite a bit of force on the trigger after that the switch now feels fine. Things to note, the cable is quite short but heavy duty I would suggest you buy a decent heavy duty 3 pin wander cable to get you 95% of the disstance you need to go. Secondly do get a bottle of chain oil as the 100ml bottle they suppply won't last an afternoon of work. It's also a hefty bit of kit, reflected in the power of the thing. Only thing they might want to concider is to pack it with a spare chain, else no complaints, other than my arms ache :)

Took a while to put together as the instructions were not clear (ie didn't mention need to make tension slack before putting on the chain although with was worked out). Didn't state need to oil the chain before use although this has since been recommended by users. Chainsaw seems very well built and powerful - cut down large tree.

Was alarmed to discover that the chainsaw had arrived without any instruction manual as the blade, chain and tightening mechanism were not assembled. Since there is no way to contact the seller in anything like real time I went online and found a site and printed out the manual. The assembly is all done by following diagrams and crossing your fingers. I was concerned that if the manual was missing could some other vital piece be missing? Today, I used the chainsaw for about 20 minutes cutting through hardwood with maximum diameter of about 20cms and it worked! It was light enough to work with easy comfort but feels like a rugged machine. I am worried that the wee plastic wood chip deflector might be the first causality of regular use, we shall see. So far so good so nice not having to pull and pull to get it started!
