Good product/performant. It's a "replacement" for my QNAP TS-231, which isn't going to retire but is looking for another role in my backup strategy. This QNAP TS-664 into which I have installed 6 TOSHIBA 16TB HDDs, as well as 2 KINGSTON KC3000 SSDs of 1TB each; it's a winning combo. All that's missing is an 8GB RAM strip, and that's going to be very comfortable in use (it already is, in fact). 280 MB/s in RAID 6 from my PC (SSD) to the NAS: that's a change from before. The 2.5Gb link to my PC (also 2.5Gb RJ45) via the Netgear Smart Switch MS305E also helps a lot. The only slight downside is the occasional noise and slight vibration due to the plastic shell or front panel. But it's an occasional occurrence; it'll be sorted out in a while. It's easier to set up: I've repatriated some settings (the users; it would have been annoying to recreate everything) from my TS-231. In any case, I recommend

Very good NAS! I'm a regular Synology user and yet I don't regret having bought this NAS which offers me much more possibilities for storing my media. I also needed to contact QNAP support to sort out my NAS when I was stuck and they quickly got to work on it to unblock my problems! Thanks to LDLC for the fast and careful delivery!
