The 4TB IRONWOLF NAS HDD 3.5 purchased has been working great from the start (about a month so far), even though it wasn't on my NAS unit's approved list. It produces about the same noise as the others in the unit and the one it replaced, which is fine with me. I didn't test it separately.

Lots of storage for not a lot of money. I have used Seagate drives for years with excellent reliability and wanted more storage for a recent PC purchase. So, this was an easy choice. Plus - it was on sale, making it even easier.
