Unfathomably difficult to set up, bios changes were required and stability was absolutely awful until I flashed the latest bios onto my motherboard, at which point it worked perfectly fine. Would’ve been cool if there was more documentation and a simpler setup process. I think if you are building a system perhaps getting a motherboard with thunderbolt ports on the rear IO plate might be easier. This is certainly what I’ll be doing with builds going forward.

Scan's service excellent, product less so! The Thunderbolt card doesn't actually work, and is so misdesigned that it is almost impossible to fit it, as it obstructs it's own socket for the Thunderbolt port. Charges properly, but so far I've failed to persuade it to transmit any data at all. Will try again later, then have strong words with Asus.
