TP-LINK TL-WN781ND WiFi Instickskort PCIe 150 MBit/s

card was installed and updated but keeps disconnecting from the network and WiFi speeds slow even tho close proximity to router

following a cut in the fiber cable at the beginning of July in my neighborhood due to the renovation of the housing. I ordered the tp link tl wn781nd to access my emails and other things on my desktop PC. the installation is quite quick.

I have once again purchased one of these tp-link wifi cards that install in a preferably pci-express x1 slot. It was immediately recognized by windows without having to install a driver because I installed it once windows was functional. I installed it by fitting the low-bracquet on an sff machine in order to avoid a wired connection. As an aside, I would not recommend it for installing a linux distribution because its mere presence when using a gnu/linux distribution generates logs that cannot be corrected or else you would disable security features in the installed distribution. I tested it on windows, it is compatible and very well supported. On the other hand, I also tested it on ubuntu in particular and a whole host of logs increase the physical consumption of the root "/" when this card is installed.

No option for 802.11n is available in the Device manager, thus max 50Mbps

Worked well 1st time on my linux machine. Happy so far!
