This is a very simple gigabit dummy switch that just works. It came with a neat little USB power adapter as an alternative to the standard AC adapter (also included).

Most 4/8 Port switches operate at 9V or 12V DC Whereas this one operates at the popular 5V DC off of an USB port. The power consumption is just a hair below my 9V and 12V switches when fully loaded, so upgrading for the power savings is not fiscally beneficial. Please note that you can use the supplied very short cable and USB power adapter, but if you have a charging port on any device Iike your XBox One, PS4, or Docking station that you can just use that port to supple the needed 5W of peak power. Personally I'm using a USB power brick as these "charging stations" have gold+ rated AC/DC power conversion.

Excellent products. This the second time I have purchased one of these, I bought V1 twelve months earlier. Both of these products are being used in my present system. Would highly recommend.

Nothing fancy, just a good switch, no complaints! I would have no problem recommending this for a home\small office setting, and probably more!

Did The job very well and was so easy to install. If you need extension to your wifi get one.
