Zyxel GS1920-48v2 52-portars Smart Managed Gigabit-switch

Does what it says. I needed to spend some time doing the config. It came with firmware from 2015 update to 2018 before starting. It uses 1.1 and I needed it to be 1.2 to not conflict with our router. No big deal make sure you update and save. We run mostly unmanaged and use our cable router to do management with fixed ip for our computers, ip phones and printers. We separate our phones this way from the rest of network For the money its good all the warts other have I dont use

I like the product but I have had several of these and they all seem to have a problem keeping the IP other than Default when moved or power goes off. If your router is set to 192.168.1.1 you will have problems. I have tried resetting and then it may work but sometimes you don't have more than one at your site you can move the router address. The symptoms are one day after power outage many of your computers are connected to Lan but won't get an address from your router if its on 192.168.1.1. DHCP address will expire and the race is on again with different computers not getting address.

I have used Zyxel for about 10 years now. All of their products work seamlessly, are easy to manage and I seldom need to replace them.
