It\'s a quirky lens but I\'m pleased with the results I get from it. It\'s a solid lens mechanically and optically (for the most part, try not to shoot against the sun). Definitely one of the most underappreciated Fuji lenses but I love it for the bokeh it produces.

Quick summary: optically this lens is stunning. It has great colors and bokeh is beautiful. I\'s a useful focal lenght for portraits too with an unusual f/2,4 aperture. Beware, it\'s not a 1:1 macro lens. The only one is the new 80mm. The 60mm is still wonderful but feels mechanically outdated. Autofocus is slow and more annoying often inaccurate. It\'s also very noisy. The lens extends when focusing and unfortunately manual focusing by wire is loud and unprecise. I loved the rendering of this lens but couldn\'t stand it\'s poor mechanics.

I own the 18-55, 55-200, 18f2, 35f2 and the 60f2.4 and the 60 is my favorite. It's probably the slowest lens of the bunch, and might be the noisiest, but the rendering is gorgeous and it simply takes beautiful photos. I use the others for fun, but I use the 60 to put food on the table. 99% of my product shots are done with the 60, often at minimum focus distance and requiring alluring contrast and razor-sharp detail. On the XT-20 it focuses more than fast enough and in anything better than bad light it locks on quickly. Speed is relative...the 60 is slow compared to the 35f2, but it's not slow in absolute terms the way I use it. The aperture ring isn't as tight as on the newer lenses and it doesn't have the same speed, but if you simply want to take gorgeous portraits, macro shots, florals, etc. it's a winner.

I am very pleased with the purchase as I got exactly what I expected. It's fine for my use (fast prime for portraits and some occasional macro work), but autofocus is very slow, especially in low light, and that may be a problem for some. The image quality is very good, like most Fuji lenses. This is the only Fuji lens I own with manual aperture ring with marked stops, and I really like that very much, so much so that I am considering upgrading my other Fuji lenses at some point.
