Good Points: excellent value for money Improvement Points: Tripod leg needs to be longer for carrying for my big hands.

Good Points: love everything about this lens except the weight . But that would never stop me from buying it . Improvement Points: The weight . It's a very heavy lens

Good Points: Cracking lens fab results, so sharp and really fast auto focus. Stabilisation is brilliant too. Improvement Points: It's just a tad heavy for long periods hand held, thankfully stabilisation works a treat.

If you think you have to buy a camera body brand lens to get the best out of your SLR, think again. This new Sigma lens walks over the much higher priced Canon and Nikon equivalent. Super quiet and rapid snap focusing can keep up with a Canon 90D firing at 10 frames/second, sharpness you can cut yourself on, aberations almost non-existant (recent Canon bodies can read and use it's correcton data), minimal flare when shooting into light at night, silky smooth handling, colour that pops, contrast just right and a price around a grand cheaper than the namebrands seals the deal. I can't get emough of this lens. Did I mention it's weather-sealed? Perfect companion is the 82mm Sigma WR Ceramic filter, a bit pricey but also top shelf so good I couldn't tell the difference between having it on or off. Sigma has nailed this one... and then some! Can't recommend it highly enough. It's my new go-to lens for sport.
