Excellent quality. Reliable connection all the time. But, Navigation control buttons within the built.in software is a bit awkward for the fine tune manual rotation of cameras.

Found this really difficult to set up. Would not buy again. While I’m not Bill Gates or Steve Jobs level IT Savy (I know to turn my pc / notebook and modem off and on before calling support) I admit to not being able to get this to work. You may indeed need to enlist the help of a super tech savy 14 year old to help. This may need to come with a promise of more screen time for them. A certain level of eye rolling or ridicule may follow - I have warned you! I was not prepared to enlist said help!

Need power and Wi-Fi to work. Then need buy a chip or cloud purchase to record. No issues. Had difficulty scanning the QR code to set up at first.

Neither of 2 DCS-8526LH cameras can play back video from SD card nor the Cloud! Called Tech support many times on both cameras, but no one had any idea what was wrong, nor how to play the videos. Never transferred me to any top level tech as requested. They did not seem that experienced.

I have 4 of these D-Link cameras now, and all are very good. I have 2 outside and 2 inside. Very simple to set up on the app, literally a few minutes and you are up and running. All features work well, you'll need to fiddle with the sensitivity and window for detection but other than that they are set it and forget it. Very good camera and feature set for the money. Will be getting more.
