Had this X13 before and it was fab until the blades died post CD shredding. Decided to get another as for paper it was excellent. I could shred all afternoon and rarely jammed. This new machine is jamming and showing overloaded with only 6 pages and has already overheated before the bin was even full for a second time. Shocked to say the least and contemplating return as not fit for purpose. Like i said, previous X13 was a real trouper.

It was when I was looking for a replacement shredder that I had an epiphany and that was the fact that for the most part shredders don't actually perform the task for which they were built, particularly well . What do I mean by this? Many shredders will work for 2-3 minutes - maybe 5 minutes tops and then require anything from 30 minutes to an hour cooling down before being able to be used again. This shredder is an exception to this being able to work continuously for up to two hours. Since purchasing this on the 11th January I have shredded a years worth of normal shredding for me and am extreme pleased at the performance of this machine. It is quiet and took everything I threw at it without any problem at all. You may think this is expensive but in my humble opinion it is worth every penny and buying any other shredder is false economy.
